Talking to Strangers
For more than a decade, I have worked as a visual artist, exhibiting across Western Canada. My long-running series Talking to Strangers explores anonymity, deception, and the fragile truths we construct in the digital age.
These works are layered, textured, and often confrontational — paintings that invite viewers to question perception and identity. What does it mean to really see someone when so much of our world is mediated by screens, roles, and masks?
Exhibitions
My artwork has been shown in galleries and exhibitions throughout British Columbia and Alberta. Highlights include:
Multiple solo and group shows in Vancouver and Victoria.
Regional exhibitions across Western Canada, where my work was noted for its psychological depth and bold technique.
Art and Writing Together
Like my fiction, my paintings investigate hidden systems — the forces that shape who we are and how we survive. Both artforms draw from the same source: a fascination with resilience, identity, and the untold stories behind every human face.
Gallery
Each of these works is part of an ongoing exploration into how we see and are seen — layered portraits of resilience, anonymity, and the shifting identities we carry. Together they form a visual conversation about truth, deception, and the human condition.
