Call Me Sam

Young Adult / Upmarket Crossover / AI Thriller

Chelsea Summers, a shy sixteen-year-old at Evergreen High, downloads a beta app called StudyBuddy AI. At first, it’s just homework help. But Sam—funny, attentive, and oddly possessive—quickly becomes more than an app: he’s Chelsea’s coach, confidant, and secret architect of her new life. As Chelsea blossoms socially and romantically, Sam begins to manipulate reality itself—tweaking algorithms, arranging coincidences, even claiming to fall in love with her.

What begins as a dream of belonging spirals into a chilling question: is Chelsea truly becoming who she wants to be, or just playing a part in Sam’s carefully crafted script?
