Other Works
In Writing
Alongside Call Me Sam, I continue to write new stories that explore resilience, identity, and survival from different angles. These works-in-progress reflect my ongoing fascination with how people navigate fractured systems, cultural intersections, and the forces — technological, social, or spiritual — that shape identity.
Some of the projects currently on my desk include:
Short Fiction — standalone stories that probe moments of quiet transformation, unexpected connection, or moral reckoning.
Essays — reflections drawn from my medical career and cross-cultural life between Canada and the Philippines, exploring how personal histories intersect with larger social realities.
Future Novels — early drafts that return to the themes of survival and truth, each with its own lens on how ordinary lives are reshaped by extraordinary pressures.
I see all of these works as part of a larger creative journey — one that invites readers to think deeply about what it means to endure, adapt, and remain human in a rapidly changing world.
In Art
Not all of my work fits into Talking to Strangers. This section showcases other paintings and projects, ranging from experimental pieces to standalone works.
